Job Description Summary
Supports the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting. Maintaining records of organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Creating reports on financial performance for internal and external use. Completing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to foreign exchange, cash management, and tax, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.
Job Description
General day to day reporting and accounting responsibilities for Three Rivers Plant
Generate and assure accuracy of month end close data including complete financial statement report, including preparation of journal entries, account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
Support development of financial reporting requirements including use of Corporate system to acquire and analyze transactional data and trends
Assist in the development of the monthly forecast, annual budget, and semi-annual Five Year Strategic Plan
Assist operating departments in the analysis, communication and interpretation of operating and financial data
Frequent contact with others outside the work group
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills And Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
College degree in accounting (preferred) or finance.
Understanding of financial systems.
1 – 3 years of experience in accounting/finance (manufacturing/automotive) preferred.
Preferred Skills And Education
Good oral and written communication skills.
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
High level of personal computer skills, experienced with Microsoft Office, including strong knowledge of basic functions in Microsoft Excel
Proven analytical ability
