Job Posting Title Financial Analyst

Job Description Summary Supports the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting. Maintains records of the organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Creates reports on financial performance for internal and external use. Completes month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to foreign exchange, cash management, and tax, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.

Job Responsibilities

General day-to-day reporting and accounting responsibilities for Three Rivers Plant.

Generate and assure accuracy of month-end close data, including preparation of financial statements, journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations.

Support development of financial reporting requirements using corporate systems to analyze transactional data and trends.

Assist in developing the monthly forecast, annual budget, and semi-annual Five Year Strategic Plan.

Assist operating departments in analyzing, communicating, and interpreting financial data.

Maintain frequent contact with external contacts as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

High school diploma or GED required.

College degree in accounting (preferred) or finance.

Understanding of financial systems.

1 – 3 years of experience in accounting/finance (manufacturing/automotive) preferred.

Preferred Skills and Education

Strong oral and written communication skills.

High interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Proven analytical abilities.
