We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable/Staff Accountant. This hybrid role combines the responsibilities of accounts receivable and general accounting functions, ideal for someone looking to grow in both areas. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoice creation, collections, and cash applications.
Monitor and reconcile customer accounts to ensure accurate billing and timely payments.
Prepare and send customer invoices and statements in a timely manner.
Follow up with customers on outstanding accounts and resolve payment discrepancies.
Record and track all accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy.
Perform daily cash receipts posting and update accounts receivable records.
Assist with month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.
Assist with general ledger accounting, including balance sheet reconciliations and expense entries.
Process credit memos and adjustments for customer accounts as needed.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and maintain accurate financial records.
Support audits and assist in gathering data for financial reporting and analysis.
Maintain and update customer billing information and ensure compliance with company policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing or payment issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable or staff accounting.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Experience with accounting softwares.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting functions is a plus.
