Protingent Staffing has an exciting FTE Accounts Payable Manager opportunity. Job Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end AP process, including ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing and processing invoices as needed Manage, mentor, and develop a team of AP specialists Coordinate cross-functional collaboration relating to Accounts Payable; resolve issues affecting multiple departments Identify and document root causes of payment delays and payment errors; implement corrective actions, monitor, and report results Maintain positive relationships with vendors Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor the AP process and provide AP reports to department and project leaders as needed Assist with internal and external audits as the primary AP point of contact and ensure compliance with SOX and other internal controls Drive system enhancements and implementation of technology tools, including Oracle ERP and AP automation tools General ledger accounting tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing balance sheet results during month-end close; determine and propose needed GAAP-compliant adjustments Identify unallowable costs according to government rules and contractual terms Implement policies and procedures to improve efficiencies; comply with internal control procedures on a day-to-day basis Perform moderately complex accounting tasks/analysis, categorize data for reporting and audit purposes Respond to written and verbal inquiries from stakeholders with general knowledge of accounting policies and procedures Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting, plus 3+ years as an AP Manager with direct reports in a high-volume environment (1000+ invoices/month) Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with Oracle Cloud or another Tier 1 ERP system (MS Dynamics 365, SAP) Proactive about identifying process inefficiencies and proposing workflow improvements Highly organized and detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy Strong leadership, team management, and team-building skills Ability to quickly comprehend new information and technologies Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills; able to document and explain process changes, system controls, or compliance requirements concisely Analytical/problem-solving skills; ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems in a timely manner Ability to prioritize and plan work activities Team-oriented; willing to operate within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment High degree of trust and integrity, open communication, and respect to foster teamwork Travel required: 0-5% Job Details
