Overview

Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Department of Implementation Science, seeks a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to advance NIH-funded research on substance use and HIV. The position involves contributing to projects focused on expanding pharmacy-based HIV and overdose prevention services and developing tailored interventions for women who inject drugs in the South. This 2–3 year position offers interdisciplinary collaboration, career development support (including preparation for K awards), and opportunities to build expertise in human-centered design, mixed methods, implementation science, and policy translation. Candidates with a PhD in epidemiology, public health, behavioral health, or related fields and strong interest in HIV/substance use research are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities

Contribute to projects focused on expanding pharmacy-based HIV and overdose prevention services and developing tailored interventions for women who inject drugs in the South. Collaborate with the Center for Addiction Research, Maya Angelou Research Center for Healthy Communities (MARCH), and the Wake Forest Clinical and Translational Science Institute. Engage in projects on Pharmacy Access to HIV and Overdose Prevention and on Implementation and Behavioral Research in HIV Prevention. Assist in intervention design, pilot testing, and implementation science research. Position Highlights

Duration of two to three years, with mentorship and support for career development, including preparation for independent research funding (e.g., K awards). Collaborative, interdisciplinary environment with experts in HIV prevention, substance use, implementation science, community-engaged research, data science, pharmacy, and health outcomes. Opportunities to develop expertise in human-centered design, mixed methods research, intervention science, and health policy translation. Candidates with a PhD in epidemiology, health services research, behavioral health, public health, or related fields, with strong interest or experience in HIV prevention and substance use research, are encouraged to apply. Experience working with pharmacy-based services or community-engaged research is desirable. Organization Details
