Overview
Research Fellow, Implementation Science – Wake Forest University School of Medicine, North Carolina. This is a 2–3 year postdoctoral research position focused on NIH‑funded substance use and HIV prevention projects, with interdisciplinary collaboration and career development support. Responsibilities
Contribute to projects expanding pharmacy‑based HIV and overdose prevention services. Develop tailored interventions for women who inject drugs in the southern United States, including design, pilot testing, and implementation science activities. Engage in intervention development and refinement, employ human‑centered design and mixed methods, and translate findings into policy and practice. Collaborate with the Center for Addiction Research, MARCH, and the Wake Forest CTSA on project execution and dissemination. Support career development activities, including preparation for independent research funding (e.g., K awards). Position Highlights
Duration: two to three years with mentorship and structured career development. Interdisciplinary environment with experts in HIV prevention, substance use, implementation science, and health policy translation. Access to affiliated centers and resources for research and programming support. Opportunities to develop expertise in human‑centered design, mixed methods, and translational research. Support for publishing findings and establishing an independent research trajectory. Qualifications
PhD in epidemiology, public health, behavioral health, or related fields with strong interest or experience in HIV prevention and substance use research. Experience with pharmacy‑based services or community‑engaged research is desirable. Application Guidelines
