Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant with prior manufacturing experience to join our finance team. This role is critical in supporting the integrity of our financial data, particularly around inventory, cost of goods sold, and production activity. The ideal candidate will also serve as a backup for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconciliation with accuracy and timeliness. Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes and assist with bank reconciliations. Manage and reconcile inventory and work-in-progress accounts; investigate variances of bills of materials and cost of goods sold. Implement Purchase Order reconciliation to support cashflow projection. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including variance analysis and year-end audit review. Assist with budgeting and forecasting. Bring experience with best practices, ideally from a public company environment, and actively contribute to the ongoing improvement of accounting policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 2–5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a manufacturing environment. Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
Work Environment
This position requires full-time office attendance in a collaborative environment, with flexibility to work from home in case of emergencies or sickness. The typical start time is 8 am, with some potential for flexibility. You will work closely with the CFO, Controller, and team leads, in a small, close-knit team. Our company recently expanded its office space and built new production facilities, showcasing growth and longevity. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
