Primary Mission: Responsible for greeting and registering guests, providing excellent guest service, and settling the guest’s account upon completion of their stay. The Night Auditor normally works a regular 3rd front desk shift, but may be asked to work other shifts as needed. SCOPE OF WORK + TEAM
Reports to the Front Office Manager/Night Manager/Accounting Manager and Supervisors Supports the front office team, sales team and guest experience Responsibilities
Register guests, handle reservations, and assist with hotel operator and/or concierge duties as required. Knowledge of hotel features, services, hours of operation, room numbers/types, room layout, decor, rates, packages/promotions, daily house count, availability, and in-house activities. Acknowledge guests, anticipate needs, and respond promptly to maintain positive guest relations. Process check-ins, verify information, handle registrations in the system (OPERA), and collect required payment information. Maintain guest history files and accurate accounts for each guest (including separate room/tax/incidentals/comps). File registration cards and vouchers by room number; assist with overbooked or “walked” guests and room changes as needed. Document guest requests, complaints, and resolutions to ensure guest satisfaction. Maintain a clean and organized work area; manage assigned bank and ensure accuracy of funds. Communicate with prior shift to review follow-up items and answer department phones per property guidelines. Process end-of-day reports. Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
1+ year of Front Desk/Night Audit experience or related hotel/administrative work. IT Expertise
Advanced knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office, Outlook); basic Excel, PowerPoint, Word; PC literacy; minimum typing speed 50 wpm; ability to write and communicate professionally; bi-lingual a plus; hospitality oriented; ability to work under pressure; ability to multitask. Education
High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred. Subject Expertise
Remain composed, energetic, and service-oriented with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy. Team player; able to work with minimal supervision and in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of arithmetic and computer data entry; experience with hotel management systems; OPERA preferred. Ability to read, write and understand English; maintain confidentiality and discretion; effective communication. Other Expectations
Adhere to payroll policies and codes of conduct as stated in the Springboard Hospitality Associate Handbook. Demonstrate knowledge of safety and security procedures. Travel as needed for hotel familiarization, content creation shoots, and meetings. Hours: primarily Monday–Friday 8am–5pm (PST); some weekend or holiday work may be required due to hotel operations.
