This role is based in Arlington, VA. On-site presence is required. About the Company

Join a leading independent power producer at the forefront of renewable energy development. With a footprint across Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky, our client develops, constructs, and operates utility-scale solar energy projects. As a subsidiary of a publicly traded Israeli clean energy firm with over 1GW commissioned and a 7GW pipeline globally, the company is shaping the future of sustainable power in the U.S. and beyond. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Finance Analyst to support our Project Finance Team in structuring and financing renewable energy projects in the U.S., specifically within the PJM region. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior project finance professionals to provide financial analysis, create financial models, evaluate project feasibility, and assist in securing project financing for a variety of renewable energy initiatives. This role will also involve managing relationships with Independent Engineers (IE), overseeing appraisals, and ensuring compliance with domestic content requirements for federal incentives. Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Modeling: Support the team in the development, maintenance, and refinement of financial models for renewable energy projects, including solar and energy storage projects within the PJM region. This includes financial projections, sensitivity analysis, and performance benchmarking. Project Feasibility: Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the feasibility of potential projects, including assessing the financial viability, return on investment (ROI), net present value (NPV), and internal rate of return (IRR) for projects in PJM. Financing Support: Assist in structuring project finance solutions, including debt, equity, tax equity, and power purchase agreements (PPAs). Support the team in preparing necessary documentation and presentations for lenders, investors, and other stakeholders. Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze market trends, electricity prices, renewable energy policy changes, and PJM market dynamics to provide insights and guide project financing decisions. Independent Engineers (IE) Management: Collaborate with Independent Engineers to ensure accurate and timely technical due diligence for projects, including assessment of project risks, technology validation, and review of project design and cost estimates. Manage the coordination of IE reports and integrate findings into financial models and decision-making. Appraisal Management: Support the management of third-party appraisals, including the selection of qualified appraisers, overseeing the appraisal process, and integrating appraisal findings into project financial models and valuation. Domestic Content Compliance: Ensure compliance with domestic content requirements under federal programs (e.g., the IRA incentives), ensuring that projects meet the necessary standards to qualify for incentives such as the Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and Production Tax Credit (PTC). Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing internal and external financial reports, presentations, and updates for senior management, project stakeholders, and financial partners. Risk Analysis: Support the identification and analysis of potential financial risks associated with projects, and contribute to developing strategies to mitigate those risks. Collaboration: Work closely with various internal teams, including legal, tax, and operations, to ensure financial models and strategies are aligned with regulatory requirements, market conditions, and project specifics. Project Monitoring: Track the financial progress of active projects, reporting on performance against budget and projections, and providing insights to optimize project returns. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree, CFA, or relevant certifications are a plus. Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in project finance, financial modeling, or renewable energy finance. Experience with PJM market and renewable energy projects (solar, energy storage) is preferred. Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced financial modeling (complex formulas, sensitivity analysis, pivot tables). Familiarity with renewable energy finance structures, including tax equity, debt financing, and PPAs. Solid understanding of key financial metrics such as NPV, IRR, cash flow analysis, and sensitivity testing. Market Knowledge: Knowledge of PJM Interconnection, including electricity markets, capacity markets, renewable energy policies, and grid integration is highly preferred. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with domestic content requirements, tax incentives, and federal energy policies (e.g., ITC, PTC, IRA) is a plus. Soft Skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
