We are looking to hire a talented Investment Accountant to assist with accounting and reporting for the firm’s managed funds along with other Finance and Operations projects. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for largescale deliverables that touch various internal and external stakeholders. Your contributions will make a meaningful impact on the success of the firm, and ultimately allow the firm to grow and execute its mission effectively. You will work with a bright and motivated team who seeks to expand the company's competitive advantage daily.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Take ownership of accounting and reconciliation processes over funds’ investments
Assist in preparation and review of financial statements and monthly NAV statements, including support of the annual audit cycle and preparation of tax information
Provide detailed portfolio analytics and performance data to portfolio managers
Prepare investor allocations and reporting, including calculation of management and incentive fees
Assist with presentations for LP meetings, due diligence, KYC, and lender requests
Work with compliance and legal teams on various filings and reporting requirements
Collaborate independently with Engineering team on various projects related to proprietary analytics and tools to improve accuracy and efficiency
Support ad-hoc requests and special projects, such as continuous improvement of controls and process automation, as well as support for onboarding new platforms/products
REQUIREMENTS and QUALITIES
Competitive GPA from top-tier university with background in accounting, finance, or related field
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably at a financial institution (e.g., investment bank, hedge fund, etc.); understanding of marketplace lending or unsecured consumer loans is advantageous
Familiarity with US GAAP and statutory accounting principles; CPA preferred
Proven expertise in managing large datasets and utilizing advanced data analytics tools; demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial information and provide accurate insights
A self-starter, who knows how to prioritize and work under tight deadlines well, with good attention to detail
Possession of strong analytical, Microsoft Excel (links, referenced formulas/lookups, pivots, macros), and communication skills
