Financial Accountant (Relocation to Mannheim is Required - This is NOT a remote

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join a growing international SaaS company in Mannheim. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will support the company’s expansion across Europe and the USA while contributing to the digitalisation and optimisation of financial processes. You will be part of a collaborative team, working with modern ERP systems such as NetSuite, and play a key role in shaping the finance function for a company at the forefront of ESG and sustainable business solutions. On a daily basis, you will independently handle all financial transactions and contribute to process improvements and ERP system enhancements. Relocation to Mannheim is required; this is not a remote position.
Your Responsibilities
Independently manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable, asset accounting, and bank, cash, credit card, and travel expense processing
Prepare and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Resolve accounting and balance sheet issues in collaboration with tax advisors and auditors
Oversee company-wide payment processes and intercompany reconciliations
Support internal departments and international subsidiaries as a finance business partner
Contribute to process optimisation and ERP system enhancements (NetSuite)
Assist with onboarding and integration of new entities into the accounting system
Participate in special projects, including digital finance initiatives and ERP implementations
Desired Qualifications
Completed training as a tax specialist or certified accountant, or a degree in business administration with a focus on accounting
3–5 years of professional experience in accounting, including experience with annual financial statements and audits
Strong knowledge of HGB and German tax law; IFRS or US-GAAP knowledge is a plus
Experience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, as well as Excel and DATEV
Proactive, hands-on mentality with a focus on process improvement and digitalisation
Strong communication skills in German (B1 minimum) and English
Ability to work effectively with international teams and stakeholders
