Galvanize Climate Solutions is expanding its Credit and Capital Solutions business and is seeking an Investment Associate to join its New York office. The Credit and Capital Solutions strategy, backed by a $1.3 billion investment program from a leading institutional investor, aims to deliver flexible capital across sectors such as power, manufacturing, efficiency, and resilience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing platform within a successful firm, focusing on structured non-bank and special situations credit, preferred equity, and opportunistic capital investments. Successful candidates will gain experience across the capital structure, enhancing their expertise in first lien direct lending, subordinated capital, and structured investments. Responsibilities
Support deal underwriting and execution processes from start to finish, including origination and screening, diligence, closing, and funding of capital. Participate in and potentially lead investment diligence processes such as management calls, market analysis, and technology maturity assessment. Lead financial diligence, including analyzing financial statements, cash flows, and financial modeling for prospective investments. Assist in drafting and negotiating term sheets and proposing investment structures. Prepare internal and external presentations and underwriting materials for investments. Support deal origination by conducting initial deal screening, prospect outreach, and sourcing transactions. Aid the overall investment strategy and team with sector deep dives and market analyses. Collaborate with other Galvanize teams to support the credit solutions platform. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in finance, economics, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, project finance, private credit, or private equity. Strong financial background, including accounting and financial modeling skills. Track record of striving for and achieving excellence with a growth mindset. Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to change, and maintain attention to detail. Interest in climate and decarbonization investing. Excellent communication skills. Benefits
Estimated base salary of $125,000 to $150,000, depending on experience. Eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.
