The Investment Associate, Global Health Investing will support AXA IM’s global health private equity investment strategy, contributing to the team’s efforts in transaction diligence, modeling, execution, and monitoring. This role involves building relationships with co-investors, entrepreneurs, and strategic parties to access deal flow and drive exits. The associate will also be responsible for modeling the impact generated through investments, ensuring all activities align with the firm’s mission to invest with purpose. As part of the deal execution process, the associate will be actively involved in supporting direct investments in global health companies. This includes conducting due diligence, performing investment analysis, and financial modeling for fund and portfolio companies. The role also requires leveraging existing manager relationships to build a co-investment universe and to aid in screening pipeline opportunities. The associate will be a key member of the investing team, contributing to sourcing, meeting management, due diligence, and investment recommendations. Managing portfolios through rigorous analysis and maintaining productive relationships with portfolio companies are also critical components of the job. Responsibilities
Support the execution of direct investments in global health companies. Conduct due diligence, investment analysis and financial modelling for pipeline and portfolio companies. Leverage existing manager relationships to build a co-investment universe. Analyze fund and company exposure to-date as an input to sourcing. Support the team in sourcing, meeting management, due diligence, valuation exercises, reporting, analysis and investment recommendations. Work with team to manage portfolio through internal analysis and working relationships with portfolio companies. Interface with third-party service providers relating to due diligence and deal execution. Liaise with internal stakeholders including risk, compliance, legal, operations, audit for efficient execution. Assist in coordinating projects within the impact investing team; report impact data from transactions. Requirements
Experience in Private Equity/Venture Capital/Investment analysis. Experience in supporting private equity deals from sourcing, due diligence, structuring to execution. Skilled in building sophisticated financial models and valuation techniques. Previous experience in the impact investment sector and emerging markets is preferable. Familiarity with medical device/pharmaceutical/vaccine clinical and regulatory pathways. Entrepreneurial attitude, motivated, strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to travel to meetings and conferences. Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects effectively. Highly numerical and analytical. Relevant scientific university degree, preferably with a PhD or medical degree. Benefits
