Job Description
The Financial Accountant supports financial decision-making by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare monthly financial statement reporting packages for business leaders; analyze and investigate variances; summarize data, information, and trends.
Collaborate with business leaders to analyze spending.
Reconcile cash accounts daily; prepare monthly reconciliations (Cash, Prepaid, Accruals, etc.) in Blackline.
Prepare payroll general ledger postings.
Reconcile petty cash accounts at month-end.
Prepare month-end journal entries.
Assist the Corporate Controller and Assistant Controller with allocation methodologies (company, location, department).
Handle tax issues with government authorities.
Create and modify accounting and finance standard operating procedures.
Assist in providing schedules and analysis during annual external audits.
Prepare monthly/quarterly fuel tax reports and provide fuel analysis reports for management.
Collaborate on projects, ad-hoc reporting, or analysis as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university (Required).
Minimum two years' experience in corporate accounting.
Knowledge of GAAP.
A successful Financial Accountant demonstrates the company's Mission and Values, has excellent communication skills, is customer and team-oriented, well-organized, capable of managing multiple tasks, and flexible with scheduling, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

The ideal candidate will coordinate and execute account reconciliations, budget compilation, and support accounts payable functions.
Responsibilities
Maintain the general ledger by processing invoices, payments, and purchases.
Review and verify accuracy of financial and contract paperwork.
Summarize and prepare financial records and statements for external reporting.
Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent in Accounting.
Over 3 years' accounting experience.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
