Job Opening: Complex Bridge Inspection Lead - Texas HDR is looking for a

Complex Bridge Inspection Lead

to join our Texas Bridge Team. The role involves performing local and national bridge and structural inspections, including familiarity with various inspection equipment, methods, and processes. Responsibilities include conducting NBIS inspections, writing reports, performing calculations, and supervising inspection teams. Occasional office work related to engineering design, CADD, or analysis may also be required.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead bridge inspections, develop inspection reports, and perform load rating calculations.

Travel for site inspections, including overnight stays in Texas and potentially nationwide.

Perform physical inspections of various structures, requiring physical ability and safety awareness.

Work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating leadership and communication skills.

Manage environmental hazards and perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 6 years of related experience.

NHI 130110 Tunnel Safety Inspection Training preferred.

SPRAT Level I Rope Access Certification preferred.

Experience with asset management and load rating software.

MEWP Operator Certification preferred.

Various NHI training certifications related to bridge inspection.

Local candidates preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to inspect on-site without assistance, lift up to 50 pounds, and communicate effectively.

Work hours may include nights and weekends, with valid Texas Driver's License required.

Ability to operate vehicles and travel as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and previous experience in bridge design.

PE license and proficiency with relevant software tools.

Experience managing junior staff and working in team environments.
