This position is responsible for collecting past due investor, portfolio, small business, and consumer real estate loans. The Credit Collection Specialist assists in collecting past due installment loans, Home Equity lines of credit, credit cards, Home Mortgages, and charged-off checking accounts. The role may also support collection efforts for Small Business Banking loans and Visa business credit cards. The specialist ensures compliance with investor servicing requirements and provides status reports to investors. They implement loss mitigation activities when appropriate, accurately document conversations and actions, and assist in collecting charged-off accounts. Location:

Monday to Friday, dayshift hours. Eligible for a hybrid schedule after initial training. Essential Functions

Contact delinquent customers via phone and mail. Recommend legal action when appropriate. Meet deadlines related to investor requirements on delinquent real estate loans. Work on recovery of bad debt and charged-off loans, including: Real Estate Loans:

Recommending loss mitigation to prevent foreclosure, proposing charge-offs, identifying problem loans, initiating loss mitigation procedures, submitting requests for modifications, deeds in lieu, and short sales, and maintaining knowledge of bank loan documents and default remedies. Adhering to timelines for default notifications and trustee sale notices. Analyzing and preparing process checklists, including appraisals, taxes, liens, and expenses to determine loan value at trustee sale. Assisting in monthly reporting to investors and mortgage insurers regarding past due loans. Handle other loan types by recommending loss mitigation or restructuring, analyzing documents, and preparing charge-off or recovery reports. Requirements

Understanding of bankruptcy, real estate, and civil law. Effective communication with attorneys and customers, with knowledge of legal terminology. Ability to analyze appraisals and property documents, and understand legal and loan documents to protect the bank's rights. Knowledge of RCW laws, federal disclosure requirements, and debt collection regulations. Reliable attendance and teamwork skills. Pay Range:
