ABOUT THE ROLE: Joining the Human Resources team at CoStar Group, you will contribute to the creation of a highly successful, fast paced, growth oriented, global organization. As an Associate HR Technology QA Analyst, this role will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, functionality, and reliability of HR processes within Workday and related HR systems. This role focuses on understanding business requirements, testing HR processes and system configurations, and ensuring that system behavior aligns with business needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a deep curiosity about how HR processes work and interact within HR technology. This position is located in Arlington and is onsite Monday – Friday. Responsibilities
Collaborate with various HR COEs (Center of Excellence) teams to understand business requirements for system enhancements, new functionalities and integrations. Translate business requirements into clear test scenarios, test scripts, and acceptance criteria. Perform end-to-end, functional, and regression testing in Workday across multiple HR modules (e.g., HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Absence, Time Tracking, Learning & Extend) to validate accuracy, functionality, and compliance. Validate that Workday processes and integrations operate as expected and meet business and technical requirements. Document and communicate defects, issues, and inconsistencies clearly, ensuring timely resolution through collaboration with various HR COE teams. Participate in Workday bi-annual release testing, end-to-end business process testing, integration testing and regression testing. Partner with HR Technology team members to improve testing efficiency, automation opportunities, and standardization of QA processes. Develop and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test results, and traceability matrices. Gain a deep understanding of end-to-end HR processes (such as employee lifecycle, job changes, compensation, and performance) to identify potential system or process impacts. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Management, Human Resources, or in a related field at a four-year accredited institution (Graduated in 2025). Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify process or configuration inconsistencies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle and familiarity with test documentation practices. Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate findings to business and technical audiences. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Exposure to or coursework involving Workday (HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Absence, or related modules). Understanding of HR business processes and their interdependencies within HR technology systems. Experience with testing methodologies, UAT coordination, or QA documentation. Exposure to HR systems (such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or similar). Understanding of HR processes and data workflows. Experience in creating or executing test scripts and using test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
