Title Senior IT Project Manager

Reports to Chief Business Officer (CBO), Technology Oversight

Location 780 3rd Ave. New York, NY

About the Role Stark is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to bring structure, prioritization, and operational discipline to our technology initiatives. Reporting directly to the CBO, this role will work closely with IT leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and development teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, aligned with business objectives, and validated for success.

The Senior IT Project Manager will not set company strategy but will be accountable for driving clarity, facilitating decision-making, and holding teams accountable for execution. This role will play a critical part in moving our IT function from reactive to proactive — enabling ERP, custom software, and integration projects to deliver consistent business value.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organizational skills, structured facilitation, and the ability to bring order to complex initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and manage a clear list of IT priorities across ERP, custom tools, and integrations.

Sequence projects to maximize business impact and ensure proper delivery order.

Translate executive direction into structured project roadmaps.

Coordinate ERP-related initiatives, ensuring updates, enhancements, and process improvements are delivered on time.

Facilitate requirements gathering and cross-functional decision-making with the right stakeholders.

Manage projects connecting business stakeholders and IT/development teams.

Ensure requirements are translated into clear deliverables and validated through rollout.

Track progress through to completion, ensuring no gaps between business needs and delivery.

Lead project management for internal and third-party system integrations.

Ensure validation, stakeholder involvement, and handoff processes are complete.

Define, refine, and prioritize the product backlog to maximize value delivery.

Translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.

Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews to keep projects on track.

Monitor performance, gather feedback, and inform improvements.

Serve as the primary liaison between business teams and development teams.

Run structured meetings with clear agendas, objectives, and next steps.

Ensure decisions are made by the right people at the right time.

Track and follow up until actions are completed.

Oversee project rollouts and ensure initiatives are validated before being marked complete.

Support IT leadership in building disciplined execution and accountability.

Clear, prioritized IT roadmap in place within the first 90 days.

ERP, custom software, and integration projects consistently delivered on time and validated.

IT organization becomes less reactive and more proactive.

Executive team confidence in IT delivery improves, with fewer “side-door” projects disrupting focus.

Qualifications

7+ years of IT project management experience, with proven success in ERP, software, or integration projects.

Strong track record of facilitating cross-functional projects in complex organizations.

Experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.

Strong communication and facilitation abilities — able to run structured meetings and ensure clarity.

Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable user stories.

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Comfortable working with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Certifications such as PMP, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent preferred.
