Top Secret Deployment Network Engineer
to join a cyber-physical solutions team in
Lorton, VA .
Responsibilities/Desired Skills for Deployment Network Engineer Technical Skills :
Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting network devices.
Comfortable using CLI, applying patches, and making configuration changes.
Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, with the ability to design efficient and resilient network topologies.
Familiarity with cloud networking technologies (e.g., Azure Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute) and their integration with on-premises infrastructure.
Knowledge of Layer 1 technologies, including cable types, media converters, and circuit components (CPE, Telco, Demarcation points).
Experience creating network diagrams, rack elevations, and cable layouts.
Understanding of network security principles and traffic management strategies.
Proficiency in WAN/Internet transport and routing technologies such as BGP, MPLS, and SD-WAN (Juniper preferred).
Qualifications for Deployment Network Engineer
Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in network engineering, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
Valid driver’s license and passport.
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
Expected travel: Approximately one week per month, both within the continental U.S. (CONUS) and internationally (OCONUS).
Compensation for the Deployment Network Engineer
Salary Range: $110,000- $170,000 depending on experience
