Chapel is seeking a BIM / VDC Coordinator. The BIM Coordinator will have strong BIM/VDC coordinating skills and will play an integral role in the construction team, working with project management and involved in modeling efforts for 2D and 3D coordination and shop drawings. This is an in-person role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Review and production of 2D and 3D electrical drawings for field installations and coordination with other subcontractor trades. Participate in coordination meetings to resolve clashes while maintaining budget, constructability, and NEC code requirements. Produce shop drawings, cross-sections of underground conduits and cables, and other electrical systems for fabrication and installation guidance. Prepare documentation requesting clarification of original design via RFIs and follow-up responses. Read architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical floor plans, sections, and elevations. Confer with engineer of record and project management to resolve problems and explain drawings to production or construction teams, providing adjustments as necessary. Travel to project sites as required. Perform other duties as required. Comply with all company operating policies, procedures and safety programs. Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: The successful BIM/VDC Coordinator will either be a Journeyman Electrician or have previous successful experience as an Assistant BIM/VDC Detailer, BIM/VDC Details, or have related experience as an engineer, technical design, or construction management. Education and/or Experience paths are described below. Paths to Qualification

Journeyman Electrician path:

Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent; proof of Journeyman license; minimum 2 years drafting experience (3 years preferred); understanding of construction blueprint, specifications, and RFIs; proficient in 3D coordination; basic computer skills; proficient with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks; working knowledge of BIM 360 Glue, BIM Collaborate, or other model viewing/collaboration software (preferred); proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. BIM/VDC Assistant Coordinator / Detailer / Engineer path:

Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent; minimum 2 years as BIM/VDC Assistant Coordinator or 5 years in related BIM/VDC roles using Revit and Navisworks; preference for AutoCAD, BIM 360 Glue, BIM Collaborate; understanding of all construction disciplines; capable of 3D coordination; basic computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office. Must communicate effectively in English with multiple levels of employees and professionals. Physical Demands

The physical demands include sitting for long periods, frequent standing and walking, handling objects, reaching, and communicating. Vision requirements include computer monitor use. Some duties require work in outdoor conditions, inclement weather, exposure to dust, chemicals, and noise. Most work is in an office environment during normal business hours. Work Environment
