No remote/telework is authorized. Work is performed 100% on site. Anticipated Start Date: Immediate
Required Security Clearance Must already possess and be able to maintain an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance. Must already have or have held SCI within the last 2 years. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph within 6 months of hire.
Responsibilities
Lead the security design and engineering of cross domain solutions.
Perform analysis of alternatives for new data flows.
Identify solution constraints and evaluation criteria.
Prepare design packages with complex integration to multiple systems.
Update design documents to address new information or lessons learned from deployments and operational activities.
Create technical point papers for Cross Domain Solutions related topics.
Collect requirements from stakeholders.
Schedule/attend Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) to discuss /whiteboard design and implementation details.
Coordinate implementation approach and timeline with technical and project management staff.
Compile and provide additional information to support government strategy planning.
Actively participate on integrated teams.
Provide guidance and technical solutions to Cross Domain engineers.
Train Cross Domain engineers on new technologies.
Qualifications
Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents and present oral presentations to senior/executive management.
Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance.
Interpersonal skills to help negotiate priorities.
Required Certifications: DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification; CompTIA Security+ at a minimum, unless a higher certification is held.
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical field (Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science) or equivalent; Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Required Experience/Skills: 6+ years as a Cyber Engineer in application, system and network cybersecurity; experience with Cross Domain Solutions; experience with system accreditation and operational support for CDSs; experience developing systems, products, and/or processes from a total systems perspective.
Preferred Certifications: CEH, CASP+.
Preferred Education/Experience: N/A; Preferred Experience: N/A.
Work Environment & Schedule
Work Environment: Professional Office Environment; must be able to sit at a desktop or laptop computer for extended periods.
Physical Demands: Regularly sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands to operate computer and telephone; communicate via telephone and present information to stakeholders.
Work Schedule/Hours: 40 hours per week; various shifts (Day, Mid, Eve) discussed during interview; shifts are not rotated.
Travel: Estimated no travel.
