About the Role We’re seeking an experienced
Scrum Master
to support the
Agile delivery of SAP S/4HANA
within a large-scale digital transformation program at a leading
California utility company . This is a key role in a multi-year ERP modernization initiative spanning Finance, Supply Chain, Asset Management, HR, and Enterprise Health & Safety.
The ideal candidate will bring deep Agile experience in
ERP or SAP programs , strong facilitation skills, and the ability to thrive in a
hybrid Agile/Waterfall
governance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a
servant leader
for 1–2 cross-functional Agile teams (SAP functional, technical, and business).
Facilitate all
core Scrum ceremonies
(daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews).
Promote a culture of
empirical decision-making
and
continuous improvement .
Balance
Agile delivery
with
traditional PMO processes
(stage gates, deliverables, RAID logs).
Collaborate with
waterfall workstreams
such as testing, data migration, and cutover.
Ensure team alignment to
program increments
and
release plans
in accordance with hybrid Agile governance models.
Partner with
Product Owners, Business Analysts, SAP Consultants, and System Integrator teams
to maintain a well-prioritized backlog.
Facilitate
story refinement, estimation, and sprint planning
using Agile best practices.
Identify and resolve
dependencies, blockers, and risks
across SAP and legacy system streams.
Participate in scaled Agile ceremonies such as
PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, and System Demos .
Work closely with
Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Solution Architects, and other Scrum Masters
to synchronize delivery.
Track and report Agile metrics including
velocity, burndown, and team health .
Manage team work in
Jira
and
Confluence
(or similar Agile tools).
Utilize
SAP Activate methodology
to align Agile practices with SAP implementation phases.
Collaborate with SAP functional and technical leads across modules (FI/CO, MM, PM, SD, Basis, ABAP, PI/PO).
Required Qualifications
5+ years
of experience as a
Scrum Master
leading Agile delivery in large enterprise environments.
Hands‑on experience supporting
SAP S/4HANA
or other major ERP platforms ( SAP ECC, Oracle, Workday , etc.).
Strong understanding of
Agile (Scrum, Kanban)
and
hybrid delivery models
in structured corporate settings.
Familiarity with
SAP Activate methodology
and traditional SAP project phases.
Experience with
Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe)
and managing cross‑team dependencies.
Excellent
facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution
skills.
Proficiency with
Jira, Confluence, and MS Project
(or equivalent tools).
