Quality & Optimization Manager ABOUT THE ROLE

The Quality & Optimization Manager role is to ensure technical excellence with respect to quality control and assurance of cement products produced at the Brookfield Cement plant. This includes continuous improvement of quality management, as well as cement performance and uniformity. The Quality & Optimization Manager's primary responsibilities are to lead a team of professionals who measure and suggest improvement to processes and systems to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement. WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. Achieve Targeted KPI’s (i.e. safety, PQM, Process Performance KPI’s, etc) Achieve Annual Operational Budgets. Detailed monthly Forecasting. Identify and participate in the development of CAPEX Projects. RCA process and solutions implementation. Staff Performance Management and Development. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education:

Bachelor / Associate Degree Additional Education Preferred: Field of Study Preferred:

Chemical Engineering or other engineering degrees with Cement production, process and quality experience. Required Work Experience:

Minimum 7 years heavy industrial experience, with a history of increasing responsibility with at least 2 of those years in a supervisor role. Experience in a Cement Plant is highly preferred. Required Training/Certifications:

Concrete Testing Certification is an asset. Required Technical Skills:

MS Office and Google docs. Travel Requirements:

Demonstrated commitment to safety through role modeling safe work behaviors and adherence to safety compliance, policies, regulations, etc. Demonstrated leadership capacity with the ability to challenge and develop direct reports Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Good troubleshooting, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills Strong cost management and forecasting skills. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests. WHAT WE OFFER
