Broadening your skill set in a DC metro area real estate, information and healthcare investment company. Sunwater Capital is seeking a detail-oriented and task-driven Staff Accountant with strong analytical, technology, communication, and organizational skills to assist the Controller with accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for a variety of businesses. Sunwater Capital is a North Bethesda-based international private equity fund and asset management firm covering real estate, information, and healthcare. Responsibilities

Accounting in a SaaS company environment – managing subscription revenue recognition, coordinating with Sales and Customer teams, calculating key SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, Churn Rate, etc.) Assist with Not-for-Profit entity accounting and financial reporting Invoice review and entry into Sage Intacct Perform bank reconciliations, draft closing journals Obtain credit card receipts, reconcile credit cards, and ensure charges are appropriately coded Maintain all accrual schedules, including interest Review employee expense reports for compliance, add to Sage Intacct as needed Liaise directly with vendors to set up accounts and manage contracts Assist with entity financial statement audits Open and maintain bank and credit accounts Prepare wires and ACH requests, initiate online bill pay as needed Manage cash flow scenarios and reporting Prepare monthly and year-end analysis and reports Assist with US income tax preparation Assist in budget preparation and analysis Special projects, as assigned Qualifications

Ability to work onsite at the company’s North Bethesda office location Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or general business major with an accounting foundation 1-2 years experience in SaaS company accounting preferred Excellent MS Excel and ability to quickly learn new software packages (Sage Intacct; QuickBooks; MS Office; Box, DocuSign, Chargebee, etc.) Strong business acumen Solid analytical and critical thinking skills Strong attention to detail CPA or CPA candidate preferred Effective verbal and written communication skills Task oriented and highly organized to track progress across different entities/businesses Ability to work in a team environment with changing demands and timelines Reliable, conscientious, high integrity, ability to learn quickly, proactive, discrete, and collegial Compensation and Benefits

$65,000 - $85,000 a year Salary Range: $65,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on skills and experience. Benefits: Paid comprehensive health insurance (including dental and vision), 401(k) with company matching, and generous paid time off. #SWC
