This investment firm is seeking a permanent, full-time
Staff Accountant
to join their team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting for their firm and related entities. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, Investment Reconciliations and Reporting, and Compliance. Success in this role requires attention to detail, ownership of responsibilities, and the continued process improvements supporting efficient, timely, and accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities
Perform reconciliations and analysis of balance sheet accounts, including bank, investment, and inter-company accounts and assist with the establishment and maintenance of such accounts. Maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. Prepare journal entries on a timely basis. Collaborate with managers to create meaningful financial reporting packages for distribution to stake holders. Assist in funding processes for firm’s related companies. Update and maintain procedure documents to promote scalable, transferrable processes and procedures. Assist with tax, investment and other compliance and physical banking as needed by managers. Other ad-hoc projects as needed. Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. CPA Eligible preferred. Strong general accounting knowledge (debit/credit, financial statement interconnectivity, accrual accounting). Experience accounting systems QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Bill.com Proficient in Microsoft Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables) and Word. Proactive attitude toward learning, workload completion, best practices, and communication. Keys to Success
