Are you an experienced Accounting Manager with strong people management, training, and inventory accounting skills? If so, then we are working on an Assistant Controller role that would be great for your background. A large healthcare company in LA is looking for an Assistant Controller to add to their team. In this role, the Assistant Controller would be responsible for inventory accounting, maintaining the general ledger, process improvement, scaling the organization, overseeing staff and AP, reviewing reconciliations, managing systems, and training and development. What you need for this role
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
10+ years of accounting experience, 2+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager
MUST have people management experience
Inventory accounting experience strongly preferred
Advanced Excel
What you would do in this role
Oversee cash management, AR, fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, and inventory.
Lead month-end close.
Oversee ERP systems and administration.
Review GL account reconciliations.
Financial statement preparation and financial reporting.
Create and document internal controls, implement new accounting standards, maintain GAAP compliance, and perform technical accounting research.
Balance sheet management and maintain the GL and chart of accounts.
Assist with managing accounts payable.
Assist with audit coordination.
Oversee tax return filings and tax reporting.
Guide and lead accounting team.
Ad-hoc reporting and special requests.
