Contract Accountant at QPS Employment Group Maryland Heights, MO

Overview Contract Accountant position at QPS Employment Group. Location: Maryland Heights, MO. This is a short-term, 8-week project for a manufacturing client in the St. Louis area. The role requires an accounting professional who can jump in quickly, learn new systems with ease, and deliver accurate work under tight deadlines. Experience with Epicor is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist with general accounting tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close

Review financial records for accuracy and completeness

Maintain proper documentation and organized financial records

Learn and utilize internal accounting systems efficiently

Assist with ad hoc financial projects and reporting needs

Qualifications

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

2+ years of accounting experience

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Proven reliability and ability to meet deadlines

Quick learner, adaptable to new software systems

Epicor ERP experience preferred but not required

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office software
