The Revenue Manager works directly with The Assistant Director of Revenue to maximize hotel revenue through the daily management of room inventory and pricing across all markets. In this role you will execute revenue management functions and inventory strategy processes that will optimize the best mix of business through multiple distribution channels.
Responsibilities
Assist the Assistant Director of Revenue in preparing short & long-term forecasts.
Support Grand Hyatt Baha Mar's yield efforts through analysis and reporting that ensure that all segments and distribution channels are mined for revenue opportunities based on budget, forecast, pace and market demand.
Maximize revenue potential and ensure proactive and accurate maintenance as well as management of all systems (Opera/PMS/Booking Engines/Channel Manager/Lodging/Ideas RMS, PRIO, CRS and Sales and Catering Systems)
Communicate all documents, reports and presentations for required ownership, hotel and regional reporting.
Monitor performance against budget, forecast and proforma through the validation of all weekly and monthly reports.
Effectively manages function space room releases, rates and availability.
Provides recommendations to improve effectiveness of the revenue management process.
Monitors group inventory daily to ensure straight-line availability and the maximization of revenue potential for the hotel.
Monitors RevPar, RevPos and function space occupancy trends.
Determines and publishes free sell dates and strategies for local catering.
Performs daily and weekly function space audits to identify conflicts of double-bookings and to ensure space protection based on trends and group patterns.
Liaise with Sales and Events Teams to ensure audit space accuracy and to make catering projections.
Observes, receives and otherwise obtains information from all relevant sources in order to suggest and implement effective revenue management strategies.
Analyzes information, identifying current and potential problems and proposing solutions
Ensures that the hotel's group sales strategies are effectively implemented in sales and applicable reservations and inventory systems
Develops and manages internal key stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications
4 year's degree from an accredited university in Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Finance & Accounting, Economics, or related degree
Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge and skill level in using Excel
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Must be able to work independently
Must be able to exercise good judgement
Ability to gain credibility and influence stakeholders at all levels
