This role is vital to the organization because of its focus on providing superior customer service to Agents and Insureds. Ensuring timeliness and accuracy in billing statements, indemnity payments, posting of insured payments, cashed checks, refunds, debt notifications, collection activities, and compliance with the Risk Management Agency (RMA) standards is of utmost importance.

Job Responsibilities

Handle daily processing of indemnity payments with accuracy and timeliness.

Post and allocate incoming payments correctly and reconcile accounts.

Prepare, review, and implement payment agreements, ensuring adherence to policies and resolution of issues.

Issue debt notifications and oversee collection of outstanding balances, complying with RMA requirements.

Prepare, review, and distribute monthly billing statements accurately.

Review refunds for accuracy and compliance.

Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to billing, claims, and refunds.

Research and utilize AI tools and emerging technologies to improve processes and decision-making.

Report non-compliance with laws, regulations, or ethical standards to senior management.

Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental goals and organizational efficiency.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience.

Experience

At least 1 year of experience in an office setting and customer service.

Knowledge of crop insurance policies, agricultural practices, or regulatory requirements is a plus, gained through coursework, internships, or related industries.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong attention to detail and ability to perform complex functions.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic understanding of AI tools and emerging technologies, with willingness to learn.

Ability to multi-task and complete tasks promptly.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills.

Proficiency in researching and understanding RMA guidelines and requirements.

Ability to learn necessary software applications, policies, and procedures.
