We are partnering with a company in Columbus that is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Property Accountant
to join the team. This role is responsible for managing the financial reporting and accounting for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial data.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties
Reconcile bank accounts, general ledgers, and tenant accounts
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Review and analyze property budgets and forecasts
Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
Collaborate with property managers and leasing teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of experience in property or real estate accounting
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, QuickBooks)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
CPA or progress toward certification is a plus
