This job is responsible for directing the day-to-day finance activities involving the Lines of Business (LOB) financial performance and includes management of the bank\'s month-end close and forecasting processes as well as strategic business partnering. Key responsibilities include overseeing the consolidation and analysis of forecast, profitability, and financial reporting, and supporting strategic business reviews. Job expectations include managing relationships, supporting management in key decision making, influencing and coordinating deliverables across teams. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Group is responsible for the overall financial management of our company. This includes accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, balance sheet management, financial planning and analysis, treasury, investor relations, corporate investments and tax. Global Banking and Markets Finance strives to be a valued business partner to the company\'s trading, corporate and institutional banking businesses. Our first priority is to operate a series of key control processes to ensure the integrity of GBAM\'s financial results. Then we build on these activities to offer performance insight to business leaders. The assets of Finance are its people. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for centralized management reporting, including earnings reviews and forecasting, and supports financial reviews with our Executive Leaders in the Business and CFO. Team / Overview The Global Markets Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team within Global Banking and Markets (GBAM) FP&A is part of the GBAM Finance organization. Our primary focus is to provide Management Reporting to line of businesses, CFOs, Business Finance & Control (BFC) and senior management with oversight of our Equities businesses. Key priorities for our team include providing financial reporting to senior leaders, liaising with regional and business finance on month-end and quarter-end close, helping manage the forecasting and planning process, managing expense reviews with the businesses, and responding to ad hoc reporting requests. Requirements
Responsibilities Directs the team\'s day-to-day activities and reviews related to the Lines of Business (LOB) financial performances, synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risks, and preparing, analyzing and reporting on financial results and key metrics Manages forecasting and/or budgeting process from a LOB and consolidated perspective and compares current performance against plan, prior periods, and forecasts to evaluate current and future performance trajectory Implements new and ongoing projects and strategic initiatives by creating new processes to automate key reporting capabilities and delivering on process improvements and simplifications to enable increased focus on strategic priorities Builds, maintains, and manages partner relationships across the Finance division and implements policies and procedures that ensure integrity of the planning and forecasting process, financials, sound controls, and effective procedures Exhibits strong attention to detail and applies analytical thinking, influence and collaboration with key stakeholders in the LOBs and across CFO to effectively handle competing priorities Forecasting / Budgeting / Estimate process Monthly / Quarterly reporting for Equities leadership team Expense control, analysis and commentary Revenue and business performance commentary Investor Relations and Regulatory Reporting Partner with business leadership team to develop more value-added performance metrics Hierarchy Control & Maintenance Process Improvement Ad hoc request from BFCs, COOs, Corporate and Senior Management Legal Entity footprint and analysis Required Qualifications
BS/BA Finance/Accounting 7-10+ years in related industry experience and strong financial reporting background Strong written and oral communications skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to connect dots across a large organization Self-starter, proactive with strong collaboration and teamwork abilities Intellectual curiosity and willingness to effectively challenge the status quo Proven success in leading and mentoring a team without direct reports Desired Qualifications
Proficient with SAP/eLedger and advanced skills in MS Office applications Analytical Abilities/Financial Acumen/Problem Solving Skills

Discretionary incentive eligible This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
