Overview Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for technical accounting and team leadership? We\'re working with an industry leader in finding a Controller to lead and elevate their Americas Division operations. In this high-impact role, you\'ll be a key player in cross-functional initiatives, guide the ERP system transition, and ensure strong accounting practices in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
What You'll Do As the Controller, you\'ll report directly to the CFO and manage all corporate accounting functions for the Americas including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, fixed assets, cost & inventory accounting and reconciliations. You\'ll be instrumental in leading the financial close process, supporting external audits, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all accounting functions across the Americas region, ensuring compliance with IFRS and US GAAP.
Own the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Oversee short-term cash flow forecasting and contribute to long-term cash planning strategies.
Collaborate with external auditors and third-party tax preparers to ensure compliance and timely filings.
Maintain strong internal controls and lead initiatives in process optimization and automation.
Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team, providing guidance and clarity across functions.
Play a pivotal role in the ERP migration from Microsoft Dynamics AX to D365.
Partner with cross-functional teams to support financial strategy and decision-making.
Ideal Candidate Profile
CPA certified (or actively pursuing).
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or dynamic environment.
Strong understanding of SOX compliance, IFRS, and GAAP.
Proven ability to lead through change and drive improvements in processes and team performance.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 and financial reporting tools like Hyperion or similar.
Adept at navigating volatile or high-growth settings, with a solutions-focused mindset.
Clear communicator who can translate complex financial topics into actionable insights.
