Overview
Country Club of Colorado is excited to announce the career opportunity of Assistant Racquets Professional. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service. The position focuses on coaching tennis and pickleball to players of all ages. You will join a team of 5 professionals and be involved in racquet operations, including planning and running events and camps, upkeep and cleanliness of facilities, and racquet re-stringing and repair. We are building one of the strongest tennis programs in Southern Colorado with 4 indoor and 6 outdoor tennis courts, and 4 indoor and 4 outdoor pickleball courts. Pay will be based on experience. We offer an hourly rate plus a generous commissions program for all time on court, as well as for stringing racquets, including the Troon Benefits Package for Full Time employees. Pay Rate: $14.81 per hour + commissions. Qualifications
Education & Experience: High level High School/College playing experience preferred. USPTA or USPTR preferred. At least 2 to 3 years of coaching in the tennis/pickleball industry. Experience coaching all junior and adults, in private and group settings. College degree is preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Physical Requirements: Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Ability to stand and/or walk during entire shift. Flexible and long hours sometimes required. General Requirements: Always maintain a warm and friendly demeanor. Effective verbal and written communication with all levels of employees and guests in a courteous and service-oriented manner. Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns. Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines. Attend all required meetings and trainings; maintain regular attendance in compliance with Troon Standards. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag. Comply with Troon Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. Identify problems, propose solutions, and take initiative to anticipate needs. Understand and apply complex information from various sources to meet objectives. Maintain confidentiality of information. Be proactive in handling problems and anticipating guest or operational needs. Perform other duties as requested by management. Responsibilities & Duties
Fundamental Requirements: Know all aspects of all positions within the department. Be a motivated and team-oriented individual. Coach junior classes, private lessons, camps, match play, and academy. Instruct adult drills, private lessons, and camps. Coach pickleball drills, private lessons, and camps. Organize and run mixers or round robins for tennis, pickleball and juniors. Conduct weekly walkthroughs with the team to ensure all repairs are completed. Help maintain an organized office. Maintain safe and efficient tennis operation and comply with standards and regulations. Maintain regular attendance. Equal Opportunity
