The Private Equity Tax Operations Manager role involves dynamic tax work and visibility into the full life cycle of private equity-backed companies across a wide range of business industries and varied entity structures. You will engage in day-to-day US federal and state tax compliance, exposure to tax planning strategies, and the development and implementation of post-transaction tax operating plans. You will work with global private equity professionals to oversee tax operations for post-transaction scenarios, prepare income tax filings, prepare and audit income tax provisions, consult on planning opportunities, and coach engagement teams while working on globally active entities. The role provides cross-border and cross-functional teaming within EY, with support designed to match your skills and experience. Key Responsibilities

Manage all tax compliance and consulting projects for active business entities across diverse sectors. Handle tax reporting implications of transactions, including tracking purchase accounting, debt transactions, and modeling cash taxes. Coordinate day-to-day client interactions, review staff work, drive delivery of services to deadlines, and develop engagement teams while managing engagement economics. Stay current on technical tax trends and authorities and apply them to complex situations. Identify and resolve tax technical issues and share insights to improve efficiency; partner with team members to identify new client opportunities across service lines. Provide income tax advice tailored to operating corporations or partnerships in various sectors. Stay up to date with ongoing tax legislation affecting planning activities. Manage high-performing teams and share leading-practice knowledge. Build relationships internally and externally to promote collaboration. Prepare practical recommendations for complex tax issues. Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a graduate degree in Tax or Law and approximately five years of related work experience. CPA certification or licensed attorney status. Experience in US federal and state income tax compliance and accounting across multiple industries and entity structures (corporate and/or partnership). Experience managing budgets and projects. Ability to prioritize on multiple projects and engage with client teams. Ideally, You Will Also Have

Experience in a professional services environment. Coaching and mentoring junior colleagues. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Adaptability to work with internal and client teams. What We Look For
