Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager
Our client is seeking a
Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager
to join their team. This is a full‑time / permanent position with a direct client of Aprio.

Construction / family owned business Location:
Woodbridge, VA (100% on‑site - flexibility provided when needed) Salary:
$85,000 – $105,000 + bonus (Based on experience)

What You’ll Own
Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations: AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, bank reconciliations
Oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes with timely, accurate financial reporting
Prepare and support tax filings and year‑end audits
Manage job costing and project‑related accounting functions
Develop and maintain financial controls and processes
Support office management, vendor management, and administrative coordination
Partner with external accountants, auditors, and vendors
Must-Haves
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with any experience in management a huge plus
Construction industry background required (or a highly related industry)
Proficiency in Timberline or Sage 300 (Strongly preferred)
Strong understanding of GAAP, job costing, and payroll processes
Ability to thrive in a hands‑on, family‑oriented business environment
