Job purpose: Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating and entering transactions. Assures records are prepared and maintained in accordance with internal policies and external compliance. Collaborates with management to develop procedures and systems to ensure efficient processes and that goals and objectives are met. Responsibilities
Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies. Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries. Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other statements. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Training and mentoring junior staff. Assists with financial and tax audits. Documents and monitors internal controls in support of auditing team. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA a plus. Accounting/GAAP/SOX Compliance. Accounts Receivable/Inventory/Other Current Assets/Liabilities. Skills
