Assistant Controller What You Will Do
Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer or Controller, oversees the operational elements of the accounting and finance functions. Responsibilities include revenue management (medical billing, claims, accounts receivable), program cost reimbursement accounting (residential, housing, school, community-based services), general accounting, financial systems integrity, accounts payable, payroll, auditing, and financial reporting. The role ensures accurate and timely financial records and smooth departmental operations. Shifts Available
Full-Time, Exempt. Schedule TBD. Salary Range
In accordance with California law, the expected salary range is between $53.22 and $67.93 per hour. Actual compensation will depend on experience and other factors permitted by law. Amazing Benefits

Knowledge of: Principles and techniques for fostering effective team interaction. Accounting, auditing, financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting principles. Preparing and reconciling financial statements and reports. Reconciling financial ledgers and transactions across multiple systems. Audit and quality control principles for financial documentation. Applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA, GAAP, and FASB standards. Modern equipment and communication tools, including relevant software. Extremely strong Excel skills for analysis, report building, and reconciliation. Ability to: Manage details while maintaining the big picture. Lead diverse teams effectively. Research and evaluate new service methods and procedures. Conduct research on accounting, financial, and budget issues. Evaluate and recommend policy and procedural changes. Interpret and clearly present financial data. Work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and follow up. Communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing, and establish positive working relationships. Education and Experience
Education: B.A. in accounting, finance, business administration, or economics preferred. Experience: Five (5) years supervising or overseeing accounting operations, preferably in a nonprofit or public entity; two (2) years of direct management experience. Our Mission
