Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead and oversee the entire accounting function. This role will manage a team of 10+ accounting professionals, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and operational efficiency. As a key member of the executive team, the Controller will work closely with the finance team to support strategic decision-making, optimize financial processes, and drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10+ accounting professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with GAAP.
Establish and maintain strong internal controls and policies to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
Work closely with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and strategic planning.
Provide financial insights to executive leadership to support business growth and operational efficiency.
Manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and operational effectiveness.
Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
8+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, preferably in the service industry.
Proven ability to lead and develop large accounting teams (10+ direct reports).
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with executive leadership.
