Location Multi‑Site – Sayre, PA; Middlefield & Orwell, OH (approximately 20% travel).
Job Summary The Plant Controller will lead all plant accounting tasks, partner with manufacturing leadership, and drive continuous improvement in cost accounting and plant performance.
Principal Functional Responsibilities
Lead plant accounting and finance for the manufacturing facility.
Communicate financial information to non‑finance departments.
Generate and review daily, weekly, and monthly plant metrics—labor, overhead, scrap, and throughput variance analysis.
Manage month‑end close responsibilities—labor entries, accruals, inventory reconciliations, material COS, overhead analysis, transfer pricing and ensure GAAP, company policy and Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
Continuously improve financial closing processes and support other departments.
Support plant product cost development, annual operating plan and periodic forecasts.
Track plant productivity projects and coordinate with plant personnel to optimize results.
Maintain inventory accuracy and support physical inventories and perpetual transactions.
Develop plant capital budgets and authorize individual capital requests in coordination with plant management.
Execute ad‑hoc projects and analysis as required.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Five or more years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Prior standard costing experience.
Prior plant accounting experience.
Strong collaborative relationship with plant management team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard cost/inventory systems.
Independent work with minimal supervision.
Sense of urgency, strong work ethic and dependable team player.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated planning and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Familiarity with Oracle.
