We are seeking a highly advanced (senior-level) consultative, managerial administrative and technical assistance professional to oversee and manage Woman, Infant, and Children (WIC) program activity from the financial perspective.
Brief Job Description:
Performs highly advanced (senior level) consultative, managerial administrative and technical assistance work. Oversees and manages WIC program activity from the financial perspective and actively participates as part of the program management team. Key Responsibilities:
Oversees, manages and coordinates the program financial operations for the WIC Program. Acts as team lead/financial expert on WIC Programs funding issues. Participates in program management and strategy sessions and acts as an active team member of the management staff. Develops tests and determines the reliability of section procedures, practices and accounting systems to ensure integrity and accuracy of processes, procedures and system controls. Requirements:
4 years of governmental accounting or financial operations experience. 2 years experience analyzing financial data. 2 years’ experience interpreting policies or regulations. 2 years’ experience with automated accounting systems. Preferred Qualifications:
State of Texas experience preferred. Federal grant experience preferred. Experience in providing training and/or technical assistance on financial topics preferred. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:

Knowledge of WIC program policies, regulations, systems and functions. Knowledge of governmental accounting. Knowledge of federal and state rules related to Nutrition Services programs.
