$70.00/hr - $70.00/hr Company Overview:
A leading retailer in the home appliance industry, known for its innovative approach and community-focused showrooms, is seeking an experienced Controller to join their team. The role will focus on scaling accounting functions to support business growth and enhance financial operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Administer 401(k) contributions, compliance, and reporting. Enhance and systematize workflows to support continued growth. Reduce manual processes through automation and ERP optimization, with a preference for NetSuite. Collaborate with leadership to ensure accounting scales alongside business expansion. Deliver timely, accurate financial statements and reporting packages. Provide financial insights into performance, particularly in high-value B2C transactions. Support leadership with forecasting, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role. Experience in scaling accounting functions and building efficient workflows. Background in retail or B2C businesses with high average sale values. Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems. Payroll and benefits administration experience, including 401(k) and medical deductions. Expertise in accrual-based accounting and fraud detection. Extreme attention to detail with the ability to deliver a luxury customer experience through accounting interactions.
Compensation:
Pay Rate:
$70 – $75/hr, DOE
