The role involves developing automation for routine tasks and supporting financial reporting to management and investors. Company Overview:
A leading investment firm with a focus on private equity and venture capital is seeking a Senior Accountant to support management company and general partner accounting functions. The role involves developing automation for routine tasks and supporting financial reporting to management and investors.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist the Chief Financial Officer and the Controller with quarterly reporting and forecasting needs of the management company and GP entities Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses for senior management Help manage the yearly audit of the management company and certain other investment partnerships Work closely with external auditors Prepare quarterly financial statements and partner capital statements Prepare analyses to monitor and assess trends in the company’s expenses Calculate and prepare stock and cash distributions to investors and general partnerships Prepare tax workpapers to support tax reporting and prepare quarterly tax estimates Assist with foreign subsidiary reporting and consolidation into the parent company Help manage the accounts payable and Amex employee card functions Reconcile and investigate account balances and book journal entries in the fund accounting system Interpret partnership agreements and allocation methodologies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting CPA required Advanced Excel skills Understanding of private equity and venture capital partnerships Familiarity with partnership taxation is a plus
Compensation:
Salary:
$95,000 – $120,000, Plus Bonus
