ALEX AND ANI . Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer. Classification: Full-time, Exempt. Responsibilities
Weekly sales audits, wholesale invoicing, and preparation of direct-to-consumer sales and COGS entries. Daily accounts receivable activities including cash collections, application of customer payments, reconciling and posting credit notes, AR aging analyses, and supporting Amazon dilution reporting. Daily accounts payable activities, coding and posting vendor bills, ensuring timely bill approvals, accurate payment posting, and reconciling third‑party payment module to the AP subledger. Support inventory accounting and subledger maintenance: inventory roll‑forwards, reconciliation of WMS to book variances, capitalization of landed costs, PPV amortization, and assistance in year‑end inventory counts. Support monthly financial closing processes: balance sheet reconciliations, expense account analyses, and journal entry preparation. Act as an integral part of the accounting team in support of year‑end and interim external audit and tax requests from external auditors as required. Participate in and provide team support for financial and accounting system implementations and other operations initiatives. Other reporting and projects as deemed necessary by the supervisor. Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required. 3–5+ years’ accounting experience conducting AR and AP activities, supporting month‑end close processes with a comprehensive understanding of financial statement and subledger to general ledger dynamics. Advanced MS Excel skills—including pivot tables and mass data analysis formulas—mandatory; proficiency with Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word required. Highly analytical with a problem‑solving mentality, a positive team‑first attitude, and a responsive and supportive communication style (both written and verbal). Knowledge of business accounting systems and integrations; QuickBooks a must. Able to work independently and in team settings to achieve precise deliverables under definitive timelines. Location
