Accountant - Corporate

Crestline Investors, Inc., founded in 1997 and based in Fort Worth, Texas, is an institutional alternative investment management firm. Crestline specializes in credit and opportunistic investments, including financing and restructuring solutions for mature private equity funds. In addition, the firm manages a multi-PM equity market-neutral hedge fund, and provides beta and hedging solutions for institutional clients. The company maintains affiliate offices in New York City, London, Toronto and Tokyo. Crestline is seeking a highly skilled and motivated accountant to join our team. The accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting for the firm. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in accounting and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities: General Accounting: Execute day-to-day accounting tasks, including recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end close processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting-related inquiries and resolve issues. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Contribute to the accuracy and completeness of financial reports. Regulatory Compliance: Support efforts to ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements. Participate in activities related to external audits and regulatory examinations. Internal Controls and Processes: Assist in maintaining internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain the integrity of financial information. Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures. Financial Analysis Assistance: Provide support for financial analysis efforts, offering insights and data to assist senior management. Collaborate with various departments, including fund accounting, operations, and investment teams, to contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting. Competency: Knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting standards. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Education and experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting is required. 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting is a plus. Exposure to alternative asset management is a plus.
