Advanced Practice Provider: PA or NP - Cardiology

Position Overview:

Catholic Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate

Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

to join the cardiology team of

Dr. Ralph F. Caselnova , a highly respected cardiologist with over 20 years of experience serving the Babylon and greater Long Island community. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a board-certified cardiologist with expertise in

general, interventional, peripheral endovascular, and non-invasive cardiology . The APP will provide comprehensive care to patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions, including

coronary artery disease, heart failure, hypertension , and

cardiac arrhythmias , both in the outpatient and inpatient settings. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed cardiovascular assessments, histories, and physical examinations Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and lab work Manage chronic cardiac conditions and adjust treatment plans under physician supervision Perform routine follow-up care and pre/post-procedure evaluations Coordinate care transitions between hospital, outpatient, and specialty services Collaborate with Dr. Caselnova and the broader cardiology team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications Participate in hospital rounds as needed at affiliated hospitals (Good Samaritan University Hospital and St. Catherine of Siena Hospital) Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program Current NYS licensure as an NP or PA National board certification (ANCC/AANP for NP; NCCPA for PA) BLS and ACLS certification required Prior cardiology or internal medicine experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical interest in cardiology are encouraged to apply Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Why Join Us?
