Coordinator

to support Advanced Manufacturing (AM) project portfolio. In this role you will provide HSE support and leadership to an EPCM project at a client facility in

Spartanburg, SC .

You will serve as a business partner working with the HSE Director, HSE Manager, Project Manager, and Construction Manager to lead HSE excellence and deliver a project that ensures no worker injuries or negative impacts to our client’s business continuity. You will support BeyondZero performance and help align with the Line of Business vision and strategic plans, while providing leadership and direction to the team and client.

You will take personal ownership for protecting people from harm and for driving strategies and performance, while supporting continuous improvement. You will maintain open communication with the HSE Director and HSE Manager, as well as peer HSE team members, to provide technical resources guidance and ensure consistent implementation of HSE process tools that support project HSE plans and objectives. You will establish working relationships to provide visible support and leadership, including interpretation, training, technical review, regulatory guidance, and governance oversight to align with Jacobs HSE program.

You will lead or support incident notification, investigation and reporting; facilitate injury management and return-to-work processes. You will develop review of subcontractor hazard assessments and deliverables and participate in operational readiness reviews or other forums relevant to project success. Travel is anticipated only to and from the project site; future assignments may require additional travel within the US and potentially North America.

You will need the ability to manage multiple tasks: supporting HSE staff in the field, leading Project and Construction Managers and field staff, fostering a culture of inclusion, and developing relationships with team members and stakeholders to engender confidence and trust with our client. Flexibility, excellent communication, empathy, and dedication to a safety-first project approach are essential. The heavy lifting happens in the field where the work takes place and relationships are developed.

Responsibilities

Provide HSE support and leadership for an EPCM project at a client facility in Spartanburg, SC

Lead or support incident notification, investigation and reporting; manage injury management and return-to-work processes

Develop and review subcontractor hazard assessments and deliverables

Provide interpretation, training, technical reviews, regulatory guidance, and governance oversight to ensure alignment with Jacobs HSE program

Collaborate with HSE Director, HSE Manager, Project Manager, and Construction Manager to drive HSE excellence

Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure no worker injuries or negative business impacts

Support continuous improvement initiatives and BeyondZero performance

Travel to project site; future travel within US/North America may be required

Qualifications

HSE certification and/or associate degree in safety, industrial hygiene, engineering or related field

6–7 years of demonstrated professional experience in a similar role in managing Construction Health and Safety

4+ years of construction experience managing subcontractors in Health and Safety in Construction with demolition

Experience with managing and conducting safety training

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Interpersonal relations and personnel management skills

Working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements at federal, state and local levels

The base salary range for this position is $78,800.00 to $103,350.00. Within the range, pay is determined by location, job-related skills, experience, and education or training.
