Moffitt Speros Outpatient Center and the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Proton Center
are set to open in January 2026. This state-of-the-art facility, located in Speros, Florida, will offer a comprehensive range of cancer care services, including screenings, diagnostic imaging, infusion services, and advanced radiation therapy. The Proton Center will house the Proteus ONE proton therapy system, providing innovative treatment options that target cancer with precision while sparing healthy tissue. The opening of these centers marks a milestone in Moffitt’s mission to expand access to world-class cancer care and research. Together, these centers will provide patients and their families with a wide array of services and comforting spaces, furthering Moffitt’s commitment to delivering hope and healing. Biorepository Coordinator III
in the Tissue Core Department in Land O\'Lakes, FL. Training location: McKinley & Magnolia Campus - Moffitt Position Highlights
The Biorepository Coordinator III contributes to the overall day-to-day operation of the Tissue Core and is autonomous in most duties. The Biorepository Coordinator III contributes to the assembly and maintenance of SOP/GLPs and supports all protocols within their section including protocols of increasing complexity requiring advanced techniques. The Biorepository Coordinator III also performs biospecimen shipments, schedule screening, and biospecimen data entry. The Biorepository Coordinator III performs complex project coordination and assumes an advanced systems role within the section. Serves as an ambassador to other departments and external collaborators. The Ideal Candidate
Prefer successful completion of coursework with associated labs: Chemistry, Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology, Cell Biology, Genetics/Molecular Biology, or Life Sciences Information Technology. Bachelor or Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field is preferred. IATA certification, obtainable within first year of hire. Responsibilities
Uses sterile technique and Good Laboratory Practices. Participates in and contributes to the assembly and maintenance of SOP/GLPs. Shipping biospecimens. Maintains inventory and performs essential audits. Complex project coordination. Training of Biorepository Coordinator I & II. Credentials and Qualifications
Associate degree in Biological Science or related field with at least 3 years of laboratory experience in academic, industry, clinical, research, or veterinary lab (including 2 years’ experience specific to a core facility) OR Bachelor degree in Biological Science or related field and at least 2 years’ experience specific to a core facility.
