Summary Moffitt Speros Outpatient Center and the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Proton Center are set to open in January 2026. This state-of-the-art facility, located in Speros, Florida, will offer a comprehensive range of cancer care services, including screenings, diagnostic imaging, infusion services, and advanced radiation therapy. The Proton Center will house the Proteus ONE proton therapy system, providing innovative treatment options that target cancer with precision while sparing healthy tissue. The opening of these centers marks a milestone in Moffitt’s mission to expand access to world-class cancer care and research. By alleviating space constraints at existing campuses, the Speros facility will enable Moffitt to enhance patient care and dedicate more resources to groundbreaking cancer research. CTLC Research Sampling Coordinator I

in the Clinical Trials Laboratory Core in Tampa, FL. Training location:

McKinley & Magnolia Campus—Moffitt Position Highlights: The Research Sampling Coordinator I (RSC I) assists with and performs clinical research sample processing within the Clinical Trials Laboratory Core. RSC I receives daily instructions for routine work and detailed instructions for new assignments related to the preparation, collection, and processing of protocol samples. RSC I follows established procedures and supported protocols within the lab under supervision. RSC I routinely performs specimen packaging for shipment under IATA 1.5 requirements for dangerous goods. The role may require travel between Moffitt campuses or satellite locations to support core services. The Ideal Candidate: Excellent organizational skills Excellent attention to detail Responsibilities: Schedule incoming core service requests. Prepare protocol-specific and visit-specific collection materials and deliver for next-day usage to location customers. Process routine liquid preparations and provide support for more complex preparations with supervision. Prepare shipments of biological samples for external central labs and other vendors performing offsite analysis. Collect, organize, and file protocol-specific data weekly. Maintain laboratory equipment in a clean, working order, including instrument standardization and freezer maintenance. Serve as a resource to members of the Clinical Trials Office when needed in the lab. Maintain QA program which includes staying current with laboratory trends and techniques, including biosafety and IATA 1.5 diagnostic shipping training and certification. Follow infection control techniques for preparation, handling, and possible disposal of samples. Approximately 95% of time in a laboratory with reagents and dry ice; 5% of time in location customers areas around the cancer center, including clinical units and patient areas. Credentials and Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of laboratory experience in academic, industry, clinical, research, or veterinary labs (required). Associate's Degree in Biological Science or related field with 1 year laboratory experience, or Bachelor's degree with related field and no experience (alternative qualifications). IATA Hazardous Material Shipment Certification (obtainable after employment start). Research-based experience preferred. Core-specific licensure and/or certifications required.
