Sr Technical Support Specialist - Gas Ops Location: Orange, CT (60 Marsh Hill Rd) Work type: Office Salary range: $61,732 to $77,165 (dependent upon experience) Job Summary

Use full range of administrative and technical knowledge and experience to assist and support management in meeting the objectives and responsibilities of the Division and to assist the team to achieve and exceed established goals. Organize, compile, summarize and analyze data/statistics and produce a variety of reports. Update, maintain and ensure accuracy of computerized and other data. Perform mathematical calculations and manipulate statistical data. Maintain confidentiality of all written documents and sensitive discussions. Responsibilities

Utilizing SAP create all necessary documentation for the complete, accurate, and timely purchase and payment of goods and services for the Construction and Engineering groups. Independently prepare and review all documentation for the purchase of goods and services. Review documentation for accuracy, research and resolve complex issues and discrepancies, and proactively monitor workflows in SAP. Act as key liaison for internal and external customers, Procurement, and the Purchasing groups. Accurately develop and maintain electronic databases, spreadsheets and files that are critical to the day-to-day operations of the Meter Services & Construction groups. Enter and retrieve information requested to assist in budgetary and regulatory filings. Run reports and queries required for budgetary and regulatory filings. Prepare, record, and reconcile all financial accruals for the Meter Services and Construction group with minimal supervision. Prepare and assemble documentation required for State and Local billing on Meter Services and Construction projects. Handle customer inquiries, including resolving invoice/payment issues with suppliers and UIL personnel. Required Qualifications

Requires 6+ years of business-related experience with an Associate's degree from an accredited college/university in a related discipline OR 8+ years of business-related experience with a High School Diploma/GED. Knowledge of business math and accounting principles. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, Lotus Notes, and HOD; familiarity with database applications. Ability to effectively communicate (written and oral) with all levels of management and non-management employees. Ability to organize large quantities of critical information that affect multiple constituencies. Ability to interact professionally with coworkers, management, other Divisions, and external organizations, including customers. Ability to use analysis and presentation tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team. Behavioral Competencies
