- Adhoc Report Developer About The Role We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to lead the migration of DB Offline reports currently residing on an on-premises Oracle database to Snowflake. The role will involve analyzing existing Oracle data models and ETL processes, designing and implementing migration strategies, optimizing queries for Snowflake, and ensuring that downstream reporting requirements are met seamlessly post-migration. Key Responsibilities Assess and document current Oracle DB structures, reports, and dependencies. Design and implement a scalable migration strategy from Oracle to Snowflake. Re-engineer stored procedures, PL/SQL logic, and offline report generation into Snowflake-compatible processes. Optimize data models, SQL queries, and reporting pipelines for Snowflake performance. Work with business and reporting teams to validate migrated reports for accuracy and completeness. Implement data governance, access controls, and monitoring in Snowflake. Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure compliance and smooth cutover. Required Skills Strong experience with Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning). Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse (SnowSQL, Snowflake-specific features like micro-partitioning, clustering, warehouses). Experience with data migration tools and approaches. Proficiency in SQL performance optimization for both Oracle and Snowflake. Understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and reporting systems. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Nice to Have Experience with cloud platforms and integration with Snowflake. Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD for data pipelines.
